Why Troop 222?

We are Christ-centered and focused on making disciples. We selected troop number 222, representing 2 Timothy 2:2. “And what you have heard from me in the presence of many witnesses entrust to faithful men, who will be able to teach others.”  For God's glory, our goal is to make disciples by the lead of Christian men, equipping Trailmen to take what they've heard and teach others, making more disciples.

The troop is service oriented, building into and equipping young men to serve others. The troop focuses on leadership growth, through a youth-led model of development. The troop is adventure oriented, offering many outdoor adventure opportunities.

Faith Building Activities:

In addition to the fun we have during weekly meetings and outdoor adventures, we also encourage faith-building programs like:

  • Worthy Life Program – Develop and strengthen faith in the Lord through learning (discipleship) & activities. This program is available at all levels (Woodlands-Navigators-Adventurers). The Woodlands program is led by a Trail Guide (adult leader), while the older boys’ programs are led by mentors (may also be a Trail Guide). The older programs include Bible studies, and other faith challenges such as reading/discussing a Christian book, attending a Christian conference, or sharing your faith testimony.
  • Manhood Journey – Father/son discipleship program for grades 6-8.
  • Band of Brothers – Peer-to-peer accountability and discipleship program for grades 9-12.
